Anita Yap is an Adjunct Facilitator with Greenleaf Centre for Servant-Leadership. When conducting workshops, Anita is an enthusiastic and lively facilitator and trainer with a passion for enabling her participants to acquire and apply skills and knowledge that are relevant to their work and personal life. Participants who have experienced Anita ’s workshops have described her as “inspiring”, “professional” and “exuding passion and enthusiasm”. An energetic facilitator and trainer with international experience, Anita has conducted workshops in Singapore, China, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Myanmar and Vietnam. In the past year alone, Anita has conducted “Facilitation Skills for Trainers” for 80 in-house trainers for the Macau Government, “ Focused Conversation Method for 50 consultants of a large technology-based MNC and “Facilitating Learning Through Conversations” for 120 teachers.
Anita brings with her more than 14 years of corporate experience. She started her career in the Ministry of Defence and Media Development Authority in Public Relations. She subsequently worked in private sector companies, Nelson Buchanan & Oostergaard, Juliet McCully Speech Training Centre and Modus Media International where she pursued her passion for learning and training. At Modus Media International, Anita led the regional training and communications function and was responsible for the strategic development and delivery of training programmes in Asia.
In her last appointment as the Manager of the Learning Design team at the Civil Service College, Anita led a team of senior instructional designers and facilitators in developing training programmes that match learning outcomes with business objectives. Anita has designed more than 20 programmes in the areas of Facilitation skills, Communications, Change Management, Service Excellence, Management and Supervisory skills . Anita has also developed comprehensive trainer manuals comprising session plans, training materials, participant’s workbook and train-the-trainer handbooks and conducted train-the trainer workshops for the Civil Serve College’s Associate Trainers.
Anita is a Certified Professional Facilitator of the International Association of Facilitator in the Technology of Participation™ methods She is also an accredited facilitator in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and DISC profiling instruments. Anita Yap is currently an Associate Trainer with the Institute of Public Administration and Management and Civil Service College International. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts & Social Science, Second Class (Upper Division), majoring in English Language and Philosophy. She is married with 3 children.
