Guat Tin is an Associate Professor in Policy and Leadership Studies, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. Vice-President of The Girls’ Brigade Singapore. Founding member of The Greenleaf Centre ( Asia).
Her basic training is in school psychology and she moved on to study educational management in The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research areas include: women in leadership, learning styles, mentoring and motivation.
Guat Tin is on the faculty that runs leadership and management programmes for school leaders which includes the highly acclaimed Leadership in Education Programme which prepares school leaders to become principals of schools in Singapore.
She has also consulted with many organizations in Singapore. A much loved speaker and trainer, her expertise has also brought her to present papers and train in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Macau, Thailand and Philippines.
