Suan graduated from Nanyang Technnological University with a Bachelor of Arts degree (First Class Hons) in English Language, and a Diploma in Education.
While she was in the Ministry of Education, Suan served as a teacher, a Head of Department (English Language), and as a staff of Teachers Network where she was involved in the professional development of teachers, organising conferences and engaging teachers in Learning Circles and reflection.
Currently, she continues to be actively engaged in the professional development of English Language teachers, and is a Local Adjunct Guide with The Greenleaf Centre for Servant-Leadership (Asia). Her other free lance work includes training and facilitation to enhance customer service.
