The Greenleaf Centre has held eleven conferences during the past twelve years, seven in partnership with the Civil Service College. The conferences have focused on “Creating Great Places to Work”, “Transforming Organizations” and "Leading for the Greater Good." The conferences feature international as well as local speakers in plenary sessions and “hands on” workshops. The next conference will be held in April 2014.
Robert K. Greenleaf, who launched the modern servant leadership movement, encouraged leaders to be self-aware, and to take time to withdraw and re-orient themselves through reflection. The Greenleaf Centre sponsors the P.I.E.S. café, informal meetings designed to give people some time from their busy lives to have a cup of tea or coffee, and reflect and interact in a safe and friendly environment. (P.I.E.S. stands for Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Spiritual.)
The Greenleaf Centre makes available a full line of publications on servant leadership (see the “Online Bookstore” section of this website).
