Singapore 2013 Research Initiative
The Greenleaf Centre hosted a research project conducted by a team from the University of Illinois at Chicago that surveyed ten education, healthcare, training, and non-profit organizations regarding attitudes toward leadership behaviours in Singapore. Dr Liden presented the overall results of the research project on the morning of July 12, 2013 in Singapore. Here are the slides used by Dr Liden during his presentation.

Robert C. Liden (Ph.D., University of Cincinnati) is Professor of Management at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is the College of Business Director of Doctoral Programs. He has served as a visiting professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the
Université Toulouse 1, France, and the Université Paris-Dauphine, France. He has over 80 publications, which have been cited over 13,000 times according to Google Scholar, and a number of research awards, including the best article published in the field of organizational behavior during 2005. He has conducted research with Allstate Insurance, Ameritech, Bristol-Myer Squib, Caterpillar, FMC, Motorola, and USG among others in the U.S., Tata Steel and several high tech companies in India, public and private sector organizations in Turkey, and a number of diverse organizations in China and France. Professor Liden was the 2000-2001 Division Chair for the Academy of Management’s Organizational Behavior Division.

Sandy J. Wayne is a professor of management and Director of the Centre for Human Resources Management at the University of Illinois at
Chicago (UIC). She received her Ph.D. in management from Texas A&M University. She is Past Chair of the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management and a Fellow of the Society of I/O Psychologists. She currently serves on the Academy of Management Board of Governors, which is the governing body for the professional organization of 18,000 management academicians worldwide. Professor Wayne has published more than 45 articles in leading management and human resources journals and is serving on the editorial boards of 5 major journals.
Professor Wayne teaches organizational behavior and human resources management at UIC. She has served as a Visiting Professor of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for the past 8 years. She has extensive consultancy experiences with major insurance companies, banks and technology companies including Caterpillar, Motorola, Texas Instruments, and United Parcel Service (UPS). Her consultancy projects include company specific actionable recommendations that when implemented resulted in significant improvements in workforce commitment and performance.

Chenwei Liao is a doctoral student in the Department of Managerial Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Greenleaf Scholar recognized by the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership. At UIC, he teaches human resources management and organization theory and design. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Southern Management Association. Currently, his research focuses on leadership, employment relationships, and their effects on employee and organizational effectiveness. His coauthored research projects have received recognition and funding the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation and the Center for Human Resource Management (CHRM) at the University of Illinois. Chenwei also has business experience with companies in both the United States and China, including designing and administering employee surveys, analyzing data and providing feedback reports, providing customized recommendations for managerial practice.
Junfeng Wu is an Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Ph.D. student in the Department of Managerial Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He received his B.A. in Business Administration and his M.A. in Management from the School of Business at Renmin University of China. His current research interests focus on servant leadership and organizational creativity. He is a member of the Academy of Management, Asia Academy of Management, and International Association for Chinese Management Research.

He has experiences in providing consulting suggestions on how to improve leadership effectiveness and to build work environments conducive to employee creativity.
